Dr. Gil Dekel completed his PhD in Art, Design & Media from the University of Portsmouth, UK, in 2009, researching tools to help people become conscious of creative processes, and ‘tap’ into artistic inspiration. Dr. Dekel’s research combines auto-ethnographic approach with practice-based work, as well as analysis of works of inspiring artists, asking: what instigate inspiration?

This website will host electronic version of his PhD thesis.

Dr. Dekel is Associate Lecturer for the Open University, UK, teaching on the award-winning module U101 Design thinking: creativity for the 21st century. He is also Reiki Master/Teacher and visionary artist.
